The secrets out. I've decided (last minute of course) that i'm going to compete in June.
Anyone who knows me well, knows i'm extremely indecisive. I've been tossing the idea around for a long time now, but it's something I really WANT to do. I originally wanted to compete last November, but had ongoing health problems that kept me from following through. | I'm going to compete in the Bikini category which means they'll be looking for a "healthy image" overall. The Judges will analyze body shape, tone, symmetry, complexion, poise, presentation and overall appearance. They'll be looking for proper conditioning, but not underdieting or overtrained. I eventually would like to compete in figure, but don't feel ready for that just yet. |
I'm EXTREMELY excited, but also know I have a LOT of work to do in 12 short weeks. My diet and workout regimen must be ON POINT 100%. Competition mode is extremely intense and takes up pretty much your entire life. Luckily, I have an amazing boyfriend who supports me 150%. I feel confident that in the next 12 weeks I can transform my body into something amazing.
Area's I Need To Work On
Right now, I feel like my core, hamstrings, and chest need the most work. The rest of my body is pretty well made already. I'm ready to PUT - IN - WORK. Any advice anyone has if they've competed before would be awesome, I'll be sharing my 12 week prep with you guys including my diet and progress pics!!
My only goal as of now is to get on stage and have fun. I have no expectations of placing which could change, and it's not because I don't think i'll do well. But I really just want to go have fun so that maybe the next time I can be a bit more serious (about placing, not my physique) and prove it doesn't always have to be about getting first place. I'm just hoping I can learn a thing or two from it, and be able to help other people in the future step on stage!
